Yamato has developed an interlock stitcher which mounts a variable top-feeder ahead of competitors in the world and commercialised it as.

Because these stitchers have a capability of high-quality sewing, they have been highly evaluated by users. The new product "U Series" has achieved the highest sewing speed 6,000 s.p.m. (VCU/VFU) among the interlock stitchers with variable top- feeder due to a design unique to Yamato.

At the show, this series attracted visitors' attention as they always gather at the machines which promise higher quality and through-put. U Series eliminates twisting, puckering and ply-shift, thereby ensuring straight stitch lines on the material. Because cloth is fed straight without being shifted in the left-right direction during sewing, operation can be carried out smoothly. No particular skill is required for efficient completion of a long-distance sewing such as bottom hemming.

U Series has the top-feed dog near the needle drop position to ensure excellent feeding. The top feeding amount can be adjusted within 7 mm using a thumbscrew and the up & down movement of top-feed dog can also be adjusted within 6 mm. Therefore, this series is applicable promptly to a variety of materials difficult to sew and complicated processes. This is a cylinder bed type with left hand knife trimming mechanism, which has been designed as a sub-model for hemming process.
